Loading... Golden Dragons, Gilded Age (The Grand Crucible Book 1)by Steve PerlowThis review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. I was a bit frustrated with all the different characters/jumping back and forth in the first half of the book, however, having the "background history laid out as it was really helped. There are several outcomes that I really didn't like but I won't give any spoilers :)Hope to get on to the next book soon. This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. In Golden Dragons, the Gilded Age, Steve Perlow gives us all the intriguing elements of good fantasy - dragons, knights, dwarves, elves, royalty and a surprise creature. Characters of the land of Taulus are introduced and developed throughout the book with multiple stories intersecting in Trillia, the capital of Lumilin. After the defeat of the Dark elves and black dragons, many years have passed and darkness arises again. As dwarves and Dark elves join forces, the battle begins. Beal and Gall, two undefeated knights, join in the battle against the new black dragons and their riders. The heat of the battle leaves the dragons who support and protect humans leaving to fight another day. Can't wait for book two. This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. This book started off interesting. It hooked me in for the first little bit. I felt it moved along just a little to fast for me, but overall it is a good read This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. A good book for those looking to get into reading, with many interesting characters and a good plot. Right from the beginning the book jumped into the fray and kept on going. |
