I was first introduced to this amazing author through her earlier novels (the one’s I read were in the combat tracking team series. I was fascinated by how she captured the macho male persona and all the military action, adventure, and special opps missions. The combat scenes were engaging, believable, and fascinating to read about as they used combat dogs. I was thrilled at the opportunity to review this novel and I was excited to see how this author would deal with this genre. Oh, wow! Not only did the cover catch my eye, but I was once again blown away by her vivid imagination, as she takes readers to a place they’ve never been before, in a world she’s created with complex galaxies and unpredictable situations, filled with twists and turns. I don’t normally read this genre, but I couldn’t resist reading a book written by Ronie Kendig. Because this is book three in the series, it took me a little bit to catch up, get the feel of the land and sense the progression of the novel. This story kept you guessing as to what was coming up next as I wrestled with who the good and bad guys were. I’m going to have to read book one in this series to appreciate the world building, character situations and their development. I’m amazed by the growth in this authors’ writing talents and creativity, It’s stunning. The originality of the universes, and her well-developed characters drew me into this complex space adventure and never let me go. This makes for a fascinating summer read, and one that would work well for a book club pick. The Book Club Network blog https://psalm516.blogspot.com/ I am very excited to read this book that has become a favorite series of mine. I went back and refreshed myself on the first two books and reacquainted myself with the characters. The author has found her niche in this genre and is a leader of bringing fast action, other dimensions to life and characters that pop off the pages. I am in awe of the talent this author shows in each book. Her imagination brings vivid images to sparkle in the darkness and overcome the enemy that tries to stop them from their mission. Just a quick note to say these books should be read in order to clearly understand the story better. Marco is so well written that I wanted to walk beside him as he searched for a way to save himself and others from the evil that threatened their world. I kept thinking as he woke up from a coma to realize that he has been captured if he understood how dire his situation was? The ship he was on was dangerous so his mind starts going everywhere to comprehend why he was not killed. He must have something they want and I held my breath as the tension rose within him. His character is not complicated but his mission sure is. Will he find a way to save everyone? Can he overcome the power that tries to conquer him? Eija is quite possibly one of my favorite characters. She doesn’t like to stir up trouble but it seems to find her. She discovers that she is able to communicate with one of the Draegis. This feat I think made her uncomfortable. This enemy seems to want to shield her from harm but why? It is a bit unsettling to her friends that she has this bond with Daq’Ti but they want her to use this bond to help them escape. Now I had to think for a minute about this turn of events. Why has she been singled out and will it benefit their cause? With several characters going through intense danger I loved the adrenaline rush it gave me. I cheered, cried and gasped as the energy increased. among the characters. A lesson on bitterness flows across the pages and reminds us how easy we allow the root of bitterness to penetrate our heart. It is something we always need to be aware of so the enemy can’t use it to cause division. The power struggle is deep within a character and this overshadows their thinking with hatred rising within them. What really caught my attention was the constant battle among each other. I liked when one of them says, “There is no room for “us” or “them.” We each fight for survival of our people, so it is imperative we join forces , learn together, fight together.” What does that mean? Well to me it is simple. It is called unity. Oh how I pray that we will all come together in unity to fight against the enemy who wants to kill and destroy us. This was a powerful lesson in the story I could not ignore. The ending is so powerful that I was on the edge of my seat glued to the pages as chills went down my spine. I can’t share the details but I know fans of this author will be very happy with the ending, but maybe the author has kept the door open for more. We will have to see. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion. "Deprive us of our ability to choose, and while you may not see violence for a time, you will also not see courage or heroism - which, if you search your hearts, may be what you truly seek once again from men. Give us that chance." I am overwhelmed. Undone. Completely and utterly captivated. This third book in The Droseran Saga has latched onto my heart and soul. I thought the first two books in the series were exceptional... and this book has somehow surpassed the others. Every chapter is an adventure with surprises, unexpected revelations, and plot twists. Every page has adrenaline and fast-paced action flowing through it, as well as gut-wrenching heartache and struggle. It's one of my favorite reads of 2022; you definitely need to read this series! It amazes me how the author has three separate subplots running through the book and deftly weaves them seamlessly into the overarching theme. Marco's journey with Eija and Reef in a different galaxy is fraught with danger and enlightenment. Isaura's journey with Kersei and Darius on Drosero is steeped in political intrigue and redemption. Tigo's journey with Jez is the most surprising of all and I really enjoyed getting to know Tigo better. Though there are multiple narrators in the book, the plot flows smoothly without confusion. I am impatiently waiting for the last installment in the series. I've become the biggest fan of Ronie Kendig's space opera! no reviews | add a review

However, I believe I will go back and read the first two books just so I have complete context. While this book leaves many questions to be answered, I felt like the author did an excellent job bringing Eija Zacdari’s character to life. I definitely recommend reading the entire series in order so you have a complete picture of the world-building.
So if you enjoy science fiction, check out this book for yourself.
