When I read the premise for this book, I wanted to read it. So glad that I did. It is so worth the read. It is not like just reading this book but a whole experience. It felt like there was a full-length movie playing in my head while I was reading this book.

Michael is lucky that something happened to him. To be honest, he was ordinary otherwise and would have been unmemorable but when he found himself thrust into a world of demons and hunters, he was the hero that we all needed.

I loved the incorporation of the Greek mythology to this story. Warning as once you start reading, you will be hooked. I look forward to reading more books by this author. ( )

This book is about an average guy who learns he is destined to save the world from the forces of hell. But however you think that will play out, you'd be so wrong!!! This story really surprised me with its creativity and hidden references to literature and history. Not your average fantasy! ( )

I absolutely loved this book I received from Early Reviewers! The cliff notes synopsis with no spoilers: It's about a normal guy who finds a weird hotel with weird people inside. He gets home with a strange dog and a strange tattoo on his wrist. Now he is Omega and has to stop the world from being taken over by Hell. The story was great and I loved all the characters. Felt sad mostly but the ending was nice and was wrapped up in a neat bow. ( )

This book starts off slow, but ramps up quickly. It's s quirky, good vs. evil, ordinary guy gets thrust into being an extraordinary hero type story. It's a little bit formulaic, but the characters are compelling and admirable. One thing that was especially intriguing is the use of historical and mythical characters, and there's even a romance between the main protagonist, Michael Baker, and a usually deadly mythological figure. There's an epic battle that is well-written, but the ending leaves loose ends. Overall, even with it's flaws, I enjoyed this book and found it to be a unique tale.

This is a review of a free copy. It's a weird book, with that mix of Greek and 'modern' American mythology, but it works. It gives the impression that it is part of something bigger.

"High in action and drama, this epic adventure is a real page turner. Brandl offers a cast of memorable characters and much peril in this dream-like saga."

"A fast-paced fantasy thriller... the author is skilled at mystifying and setting up cliffhangers at the end of each chapter, making this book hard to put down. The Palladium is as thought-provoking as it is suspenseful, giving readers a unique, vicarious experience of the battle between primordial good versus evil."

"The Palladium breathes new life into a familiar premise, thanks to Thorsten Brandl's wicked imagination. A page turning fantasy... highly recommended for lovers of urban fantasy. It's a blast."
