this book had a good CONCEPT. but the storytelling was lazy and then also terribly written. The dialog sounded like it was written from someone whose first language wasn't english. the conversations and details were incredibly repetitive, and yet the book was full of plot holes. Also, it's like you couldn't decide who you wanted your FMC to be. Strong or weak? independant or blaming everyone for not keeping her safe/keeping her informed/ etc? She had all this military training and trauma training, but it was all forgotten unless she mentioned it. she didn't have ptsd from war, but from her childhood trauma? fair. but then why would she freak out about the end to the stalker situation? she never should have been attacked the way she was if she had that training for as long as she did or freak out if she saw as much combat as she claimed.

one star for the skill of actually writing a book though. ( )
