I have yet to find a book by this author that I didn't genuinely enjoy (even the dinosaur books, IYKYK). The fifth installment in the Kinda Fairytales series, this book follows Maid Marion and Nick Greystone (the titular Sheriff of Nottingham). I'm not going to give away spoilers, although if you know this author you know that her books heavily feature the fated mates/HEA tropes. The difference here is that she writes them quite well, and with so much wit, that her books are just a delight. The humor and unexpected twists keep me coming back to this author time and again. My only complaint (and honestly, if this is the only complaint then it shouldn't deter you from picking up this book) is the typos. I read the digital Kindle version and, like others have said, she could benefit from a good proof-reader. This really only grabs your attention if you're nit-picky like me, and it genuinely doesn't affect my enjoyment of her books at all. I would read anything this author writes (again, even the dinosaur books)! Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in Cassandra Gannon's works, you will not be disappointed. no reviews | add a review

Maid Marion has a chance to redo her life. Ten years ago she was sent to the Wicked Ugly and Bad Prison for murdering the Sheriff of Nottingham. One small problem: She didn't do it! Now, magic is sending the former Good girl back in time to set things right. Marion's embraced her Badness, this time around. She'll get revenge on her selfish ex-boyfriend, Robin Hood, make Nottingham pay for all the ways they screwed her over, and save the handsome, gargoyle sheriff from his real killer. ...And while she's at it, she'll seduce that brooding man and claim her real happily ever after! I kind of love this book. The characters are really fun, the romance is believable (in it's own strange way), the plot was interesting. I adore the Kinda Fairytale world and this made me want to start the series over again.
But it felt like this book was a bit too long. It's over 700 pages, double the length of most of the books in the series. The plot didn't move forward very much during the middle of the book, so it was easier for me to put it down to do other things. ( )
