I'm disturbed, but my inner child thinks it hilarious. Test your children, students, and friends, and find out something about them that you probably never knew before....

And don't read other reviews first; too many of them are spoilery! ( )

I really enjoyed reading this book. I think it does a good job of describing how people change. It also definitely has a surprising and shocking ending. ( )

I do love the picture books where funny stuff happens. I especially love the picture books where more realistic stuff happens... what happens when a tadpole falls in love with a caterpiller? heh. heh. heh. ( )

Tadpole and caterpillar are best friends. Caterpillar makes a promise to tadpole to never change. They keep the promise, until one day tadpole grows and develops legs and becomes a frog. Frog eats the butterfly that the caterpillar changed into and he never realizes what he’s done. ( )

In this book, a tadpole and a caterpillar meet, fall in love, and promise each other that they will never change. The tadpole begins to change into a frog, and the caterpillar gets mad because he has broken his promise. Then the caterpillar transforms into a butterfly and the frog unknowingly eats her. This is a little morbid for a kids book, but in a funny way, and a theme I see is that sometimes you can't prevent change.
