Any chance that I can dive back into this world, I will do it because these characters and their stories are special. Each of them is unique and memorable. Kent and Olivia stood out from the first little prequel to their full story. It was decadent and delightful. I thought their story had concluded in a good spot and was not expecting anything more from them. However, I wasn't going to turn down the chance to see these characters again and see the cameos of previous ones.
Kent is just as swoon-worthy as he always was, if not more so than before. How that is even possible, I have no idea. His mouth. That man needs to be cloned. Olivia in this book frustrated me a little. There were many times that she came across as bratty (with Daniel) and I struggled with that. However, the rest of her feelings and the way that she was acting, and the why made my heart hurt for her. It was refreshing to see, what I thought was a perfect couple, actually, struggle like in real life. I loved watching them have to work for something like we would in the real world. I know that reading romance is supposed to be an escape but it also was a gentle remember that love takes special cultivating to keep it growing.
Loved seeing my old favorites. I so miss them, especially Ian and Carina. Very solid novella. ( )
