This 4th book in the Secret Bookcase Mystery series is another delightful installment, one I feel is the best of the four books so far.

It has a holiday theme, involving a murder at a gingerbread house contest which was held at the bookstore. Lots of baking and social media influencing talk, which was interesting.

As usual, Annie gets involved in solving the murder, along with help from the truly outstanding supporting cast of characters, including Liam, Pri, Hal, and Fletcher.

A highly recommended cozy mystery!!

(I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via Net Galley, in exchange for a fair and honest review). ( )

It was supposed to be a lot of fun for everyone making elaborate gingerbread buildings, judging them, and publicizing the contest and the bookstore. But then there was the stalker, and the real behaviors of the influencer, and then the sudden unexpected death of said influencer. Was it a heart condition or something unthinkable? Following former criminology student/bookseller Annie Murray and her friends and love interest is a twisty good story.
I requested and received a free temporary EARC from Storm Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!
