It is the classic tale of Cinderella but the way the book helps children visualize the scenes in the book is beautiful. The book is basically the happy fairytale with the happy ending. The theme in the book is to be kind to other regardless of social class. I just honest believe children will see the theme when reading this book. However, the pop ups in the book are so powerful. The pop ups told the story without the readers even having to read the text. ( ) In this fun pop-up book, young readers will be lost in their imagination. The story of Cinderella is well known. A young woman is left to live with her evil stepmother and two wicked stepsisters. They are very cruel to Cinderella and make her their servant. After receiving an invitation to the Prince's royal ball Cinderella is mocked and laughed at, saying she will never be good enough to attend something like that. With a little help from some animal friends and a fairy godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a beautiful princess. Her only condition is that she be home before midnight, because that is when the spell will wear off. After losing one of her glass slippers at the ball, the Prince is on a mission to find out the name of the mysterious girl who he danced with. When the Prince finally got to Cinderella's home he almost misses her. Cinderella's evil stepmother had locked her in the broom closet. After managing to free herself from the closet, Cinderella tries on the shoe and it is a perfect fit. Cinderella and the Prince got married and lived happily ever after.
