Better than the first. A bit silly at times, but also exciting and intriguing. Stephen King can't help but write his villians so evil that they're comical. Gimme the next one. ( ) I couldn't figure out the entire book what was with the Lady in Shadows it was like the more into her background you looked the harder it was to see why she was two instead of one. I was entranced by this book Stephen King did awesome keeping your interest. Leaves you wanting to continue... needing to read the next book to continue with Roland's journey for The Tower. It's almost a compulsion to continue as Roland seems to be compelled to continue his journey to the end. Excellent book, turned what i thought the series will be after first book on his head, and i LOVED IT. Epic way to weave worlds and narrative , very creative story and excellent characters. I loved everything about this book, I hope the trend ,of greatness, continues on the next entry to the series. So glad I started reading the series AND didn't stop after the first one. Highly recommend. no reviews | add a review

HTML:The second volume in Stephen King's #1 bestselling Dark Tower Series, The Drawing of the Three is an "epic in the making" (Kirkus Reviews) about a savage struggle against underworld evil and otherworldly enemies. "Stephen King is a master at creating living, breathing, believable characters," hails The Baltimore Sun. Beginning just less than seven hours after The Gunslinger ends, in the second installment to the thrilling Dark Tower Series, Roland encounters three mysterious doorways on a deserted beach along the Western Sea. Each one enters into a different person's life in New York—here, he joins forces with the defiant young Eddie Dean, and with the beautiful, brilliant, and brave Odetta Holmes, to save the Dark Tower. "This quest is one of King's best...it communicates on a genuine, human level...but is rich in symbolism and allegory" (Columbus Sunday Dispatch). It is a science fiction odyssey that is unlike any tale that Stephen King has ever written. No library descriptions found. |
