How Are You Peeling?: Foods with Moods by Saxton Freymann (sweetiegherkin)
sweetiegherkin: Very different art styles (cartoonish drawings versus photography), but both books are designed to get children thinking about the different kinds of emotions out there and naming them. I wasn't sure I liked the art in this book at first, but it grew on me. Simple drawings in bright colors. It talks about a lot of simple feelings ("scared") and also silly ones ("like kissing a sea lion.") I love the encouragement at the end for kids to share feelings with someone they love. So, so important to normalize expressing feelings. ( )

I like how this has very basic facial visuals for children to understand so they almost feel they are reading. I think it is helpful for little children learning about recognizing others emotions.

This book is all about feelings and that its okay to express our feelings. It is informational to help children learn about feelings. This book is for ages 3-6. I found this book at my house. ( )
