This book is definitely a great book that could be used in the classroom when discussing the seasons of the year. It is three of Eric Carle’s books wrapped into one big book. It includes Rooster’s Off to See the World, A House for Hermit Crab, and The Tiny Seed. In The Tiny Seed it explains that a tiny seed follows along with a group of other seeds that have blown away by the autumn wind. Then it moves on to winter and the seeds fall and begin to grow, and so on. It is great because the illustrations are very colorful and look like kids drew them. It also explains in the story about the weather for each season, which would be great to incorporate into your teaching of the seasons. ( )
