I think it is hard to find a simple book about Valentine's Day. This one works. It is just a simple rhyming text about making and sharing valentines. Good for storytime use. Pictures are cutesy, but that is what you want for Valentine's Day. (

I love GETTING valentines on Valentine's Day!"

Probably just me, but this sort of disappointed me. (

This book can be characterized by both fantasy and realistic fiction. It is fantasy because animals do not make valentines, however it can be looked at as realistic fiction because even though the story is fictitious, what they do (making valentines) happens in real life.
