Andrew Salkey, a well-known Jamaican novelist describes Cuba as a nation in Cariribea which is racially mixed and culturally varied. First colonized by Spain and later overshadowed by America. The population is no longer divided between the rich and the poor. He wrote about the changes in Cuba since revolution and portrays a Cuba which is seldom seen by ordinary visitors.
