this book is great in order to have a laymans primer to neuroscience and I also found it to be a great self help book with regard to someone struggling to understand themselves and to open their slef conscious abilities . It's written more in a storybook kind oof style which makes it easier to read . ( )

A fascinating book. The author's description of what was going on in her brain, and how it affected her consciousness was riveting. But the story of her recovery and what she learned and needed is also fascinating. It's not hard to imagine yourself or your loved ones in this position. ( )
