An older woman as eccentric as the Aunt just doesn't become believable. The hero really doesn't become particularly lovable. Just OK. I put the book down for quite a while and cam back and finished it to give it a chance. It was still middling, not awful but not one I'd read again. ( ) no reviews | add a review
Working as the companion to the eccentric Lady Wiston, Miranda Carmichael is equally fearful of and intrigued by the lady's nephew, the brash Peter Daviot, who has recently returned from the wilds of British Canada. No library descriptions found. |
