This book is a bit slow-going, which may be why I have been reading it on and off for about a year-and-a-half. There's lots of good material on work-life balance issues and why women face unique challenges in the workplace, but it reads a bit like a research paper. Beck's more recent books are a lot more fun. no reviews | add a review
Much as Gail Sheehy did in Passages, Dr. Beck articulates a common signpost in women's lives, explaining the five stages which characterize how women arrive at their breaking point, how their age defines their experience, and how they can transcend crisis and move on to redefine their lives.
