There's something about it. I think this is the third time I've finished this one and I think I will keep coming back to it. Love in the Time of Cholera is my favorite to read but this one feels so much easier to apply to my world and my life. Okay, I did it. I read a famous book. And during my reading sessions I felt as if I were plunged into a fever dream. With a cycle of endlessly repeating names, the book would have been better if the family tree was printed on every other page. Littered with depressed people in depraved relationships, this is not a story to cheer you up or make you feel good about the human race. The story resonates with madness.
