Collects the first fifty or so issues of Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man. The Ultimate line was a mid-nineties concept of "re-booting" some of the company's flagship characters. This is a very enjoyable ride, as Bendis gives us a great picture of the classic tortured teen, as well as using modern day high school as his background. The family dynamic and the setting are even more entertaining than the fight scenes and other Spidey stuff! ( )
