The handy in-store companion, which teaches: Which foods should be organic, how to choose a well rounded weekly menu, how to select the freshest produce, and exactly how much produce to buy. There was a lot of things that I really enjoyed about this book. For one, the illustrations are spectacular and they are so interesting to look at and examine. I also love that the author includes information at the end of the story, allowing the reader to know about squirrels and how they live and interactive within the environment. In addition to that, I also really enjoyed the author's sense of rhythm and rhyme. It helped create an upbeat tone for the writing and it made the book stronger. I loved how simple the book was and that the message was to enjoy simple things and to pay attention to what is around you. In Nuts to You, the unnamed first-person (but presumably child) narrator wants a squirrel to come be his/her indoor pet...but when the squirrel does get inside, the narrator lures it out again with a trail of nuts. Small text labels other flora and fauna throughout the book (ladybug, tulip bulb, American Goldfinch, monarch butterfly, tomato plant, petunia plant) and there is more information about squirrels in the back. no reviews | add a review
