Not only did I love the story, I loved how it was told; I found [a:Janette Rallison|184987|Janette Rallison|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1215107953p2/184987.jpg]'s writing easy to read and loved how she portrayed all of the characters of [b:Just One Wish|4570667|Just One Wish|Janette Rallison|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255919319s/4570667.jpg|4620018] whether they be annoying (Esme), talented yet peculiar (Mr. Blasingame), cute and funny (Steven) or even just plane adorable and awe-inspiring (Jeremy), you can be sure she made you feel like you'd met these people, as if they were in fact a part of your life. At least, that's how I felt reading this. More of the review to come ;) x "This is my official third wish. I wish that no matter what happens with the cancer, my family will still be happy. Especially Annika." Were there ever sweeter word said by a six year old little boy? Over & Out, T xx
4.5 out of 5 stars!! This was a great book!!! I loved it! The characters were portrayed wonderfully! I loved the banter between Steve and Annika! And Oh My God the stuff she could come up with at the drop of a hat! My only wish was that it was longer!!
Seventeen-year-old Annika tries to cheer up her little brother Jeremy before his surgery to remove a cancerous tumor by bringing home his favorite television actor, Steve Raleigh, the star of "Teen Robin Hood." No library descriptions found. |

Another amazing book by Janette Rallison! I thought this was going to be a simple romantic comedy like [b:My Fair Godmother|4346365|My Fair Godmother (My Fair Godmother, #1)|Janette Rallison|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1316738522l/4346365._SY75_.jpg|4394287] was, but there were also more serious topics and spiritual questions involved. The main character's 6-year-old brother has a serious form of cancer, and this solemnity is beautifully mixed in with more humorous scenes throughout (such as Annika buying animals, pretending she's some animal keeper, and sneaking onto a movie set!). And then I cried near the end of the book. ( )
