One or two of the stories were very good (including the title story), but some seemed to me to be trying too hard to be experimental and edgy (not that I mind experimental and edgy, but these, as I said, seemed forced). The final story seemed to be very good until the ending, which I realized when I got to it had been telegraphed in what seemed to me a pretty clumsy way. Oh, well. Good, sometimes interesting, stories but not great. I would give this writer another try if I came upon one of his other books, but I wouldn't go out of my way to look for one. ( )
