Vlad's all obsessed with Meredith through all the books up to and including this one, but he finally decides that he can't control himself around her. Snow, meanwhile he actually does lose control around, but she's okay with it. I think that ends up being why Snow is the winner. Vlad's constantly feeling like an outsider, but she's part of his world, and happy to be. Meredith wants Vlad, but doesn't want his baggage. She just wants him to fit perfectly into her world. no reviews | add a review

either way, it was great to be back with Vlad and Henry. It was nice to remember their banter but I was sad when they had their struggles too.
But Vlad was still a little....I don't know, kiddish? I would have thought he would have grown up a little more, dealing with what he is (being a vampire and all) but I did like that you could see some growth and maturing through the book. I'll keep reading. ( )
