my oh my... Can Bella be any more dense?
Jacob told her about werewolves and vampires in the beginning of the first book and it takes her around 100 pages on this book to realise that werewolves are a reality too?

and then all those quotes and comparissons with Romeo and Juliet... OK, very romantic woman wants a Romeo and Juliet story, but they die in the end... Bella and Edward become so pessimistic when they are apart...

On the other hand I'm starting to feel that the issue of Bella becoming a vampire will drag on forever, because if she does become a vampire is the end of her story... ( )

You know im not obsessed with the series but i think the hype around the book gives memorable characters. I remember really enjoying reading these books and the books frame the characters much better than the movie (which holds a different place in my heart) just a clumsy girl who honestly kind of stumbles her way in to a romance ( and while i know its not part of this set i highly recommend reading midnight sun as well cuz it did give a different spin on Edward). I do look forward to her other books as shes stated she's going to focus on other parts of the universe and i think it will be great for the world building which is sort of hinted at in well at least the last book. Even if it did get a bit weird. Anyway just my fan opinion ( )

I have read this entire series and let me tell you I can see why the big rave about this series. I would love it if Stephenie Meyer would bring out a series for us adults. She is an excellent writer and I am reading the host and so far awesome. The twilight saga books are full of action, intrege, mystery, love, romance, and a little bit of humor. I can't help but to Love Jacob. He has a sensivity about him that anyone could love. He hides nothing from Bella and I love that he willing to protect her and her family no matter who it is against. GREAT BOOKS ( )

Read this when I was bored in CompSci classes. Boring storyline but good writing skills... Hopefully Stephenie Meyer will write better stories after this...

The funny thing was that till book 2, I didn't realize that it was written by Stephenie. I thought it was some famous author called Stephen Meyer. I guess that says something about her writing style, which is pretty good.

Of course, as soon as I hit the long and winding female inner monologue, I realized that this could only be written by a girl, so I wikipedia'd Stephenie Meyer... :P ( )

The first one was okay the first few chapters of the second one was okay but then they just got boring. I read these books because people were going on about how great they were but they weren't they were really boring. ( )

So there is a Japanese manga adaptation of the series and I need it ASAP. I may not be a Twilight fan, but I am a fan of manga. Sometimes, I even read bad manga because it is fun. There is only a level up to which a bad story can annoy the reader. If it gets any worse, it becomes funny. I go pretty fast from, "What the heck am I reading. It's making me so irritated, I want to tear this book." to "LOL, the author actually thought this would work." I know this one is going to be hilarious.

Unfortunately, this manga is available only in Japanese now. Here are the titles of the 13 volumes in English, thanks to Google Translate:

Meyer creates a new world of myths, dismissing all the old legends and creating her new vision of this strange and foreboding creatures.
We meet Bella when she decides to live with her dad in Forks, a city where it rains every day and even a peak of sunshine is like the apocalypse. Bella is very fascinated by the guy with the topaz eyes Edward Cullen, but he seems to hate’s her

Edward is a vampire. But not the typical Dracula, coffins and blood vampire (Interview with a vampire or Dracula untold, NOPE). This new genre of vampires is something you have never heard about. They crave blood, true, but not in the sense we think. They hunt animals in order to live at peace with humans, and going out into the sun isn't a problem. Except for the whole glowing with radiant beauty thing. **My diamond Vampires**

Bella and Edward soon become friends, the *lion and the lamb*, the *beauty and the beast* they had it. Edward has never been so happy therefore, Bella is precious and the story progresses.


Then the first threat happens a vampire who tracks humans for snacks cached wind of Bella and her new protective family “the Cullens”, Edward and his family of six vampires, all very unique and deep, start a crazy plan in an attempt to save Bella and kill the tracker, the hunt is launched, unfortunately this hunt scares Edward and when you read book 2 you realize the impact of this hunt!
Edward snarling and dropping into his feral position--sigh, what a man! YUM!!!!

This book should come out with a general's warning, you will stay up all night. So read Twilight with extreme caution, it is addictive!

New Moon
Love The Way You Lie

In New Moon we miss the vampires the most of the story. Bella spends time with her friend Jacob, an Indian becoming a werewolf, who hates all "bloodsuckers", regardless of whether or not the bloodsuckers took human lives, they create this special bond that is very important factors for book 3 and 4, so even if you are angry at Edward at this point you need to read this to understand the bond between Bella and Jacob..

Bella becomes seriously withdrawn from the world after Edward’s departure and considering their strange and magical relationship, which is expected, she did not just lose a lover but also an friend and her protector I think any human will become depressed!
I do miss Edward's presence-he was such a strong character in Twilight, but Jake is such a nice character as well (But damn it broke my heart and I was so angry at Edward)


When Edward lies to Bella, we know that he is lying, and we know that there will be resolution! I did enjoy the unique take on werewolves.

Questions - is her friendship with Jacob any safer for her than her relationship with Edward? Or is Jacob hiding a dangerous secret of his own?
There is a delightful, suspenseful, thrilling twist at the end of the book, and this is a must read!

Eclipse
Bella & Edward-Stay with me

Twilight introduced us to Bella Swan and the mysterious Cullen's a family of vampires. New Moon pulled Bella and Edward Cullen apart, and tested their love and introduced us to Jacob and the battle between wolves and vampires. It also left us hanging with a decision about Bella and immortality: when?

Eclipse is different. We return to the town of Forks and find that nothing much has changed. Graduation is closer than ever (after which, the Cullen's have agreed to make Bella a vampire) and a serial killer is loose in Seattle. Bella cannot see Jacob, her best friend because he is a Werewolf, and due to her ties to the vampires, it would break treaties and bonds made between them.

As the days go by, and graduation gets closer and closer, Bella must choose her fate. She wants to become immortal and be with Edward, but she must give up her family to do so. She is also worried about the change: will she be able to be "vegetarian" like the Cullen Family, and refrain from human blood? Or will her new blood lust cause her to kill innocent people?



Breaking Dawn
A thousand years - Christina Perri

I LOVED Breaking Dawn. I still love Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Cullen Clan. I have even fallen for baby Renesmee. I am glad that Bella was allowed to become a mother even when it wasn't something that she wanted. I think there was an important message that the book DID get across...with Bella marrying Edward...with her having the baby... that sometimes, things that we don't know or think we want can be the most wonderful and powerful and most happily ever after moments in our lives.




The Valkyrie did not like that there was a half human vampire baby – so there was a battle of wills between the Valkyrie and the Cullens, someone had to win someone had to lose – Read this series to find out who the lucky winners was?


I am going to miss these books and these characters. May they live forever on library shelfs and in the minds of their truly devoted fans? All I can say is I was hooked! I devoured every page! I enjoyed Twilight, I liked New Moon, I loved Eclipse, and now I am completely infatuated with Breaking Dawn. Each one got better and better.

They are a light Vampire romance, good for a beginner in the Vampire genre, if you don't want to start at the beginning with very dated Carmilla {which is excellent BTW}.

A good intro, then though you would want to move on to much better stories. ( )

Ok, before I even begin to review this, let's be real here. People are completely crazy over the series, be it crazy in love, or crazy hate. But after watching the first movie that came out, I bought the first book. Necrophilia and beastality aside, I actually thought the first book was not bad. Plus I'm sure all girls dream of having an almost illegally handsome boy fall for you, the nerd/nobody.

So I bought the entire collection.

And then I found myself actually TRYING to finish all 4 books. I would read, then get a bit bored, so I'd close it. After a few days/weeks of not touching it, I would make myself open it to continue reading, and I can say that I was actually glad when I finished it. I liked the first book, but sadly, my interest increasingly faded as I read books 2-4. ( )

By far one of the best collection of books I've read. I know most people do not care for the series, but I absolutely loved it. ( )

The first book delivered storyline, but the characters were almost caricatures, with no even grounding. Edward is too idolised by Bella, who is the ever-ready damsel in distress, finally having found her true love, only to be kidnapped by another, evil monster. The writing was a bit weak, but it certainly had potential.

The second and third books were simply fillers - only the climax of the second book is somewhat exciting, though it is good to see the Bella's character grow beyond the needy and Edward-obsessed girl she is in the first book; her relationship with Jacob is almost mature in nature. Of course, the moment Edward comes back, all that meticulous hard work of character-building goes out the window, and she reverts to Bella 1.0

The last book is arguably a page-turner, but fails to deliver on a lot of things, including the first time Edward and Bella were intimate (he broke the bed; that's how good it was /sarcasm), and her transformation into a vampire.

Overall, it's a good starting novel for teens who don't really read a lot, but certainly not a notable work of fantasy. Twilight is a fad, not a classic. ( )

I read these books about a year before they became a fast selling
, movie pumping sensation. I absotely loved them as a long standing vampire fan. If I had read them after all the hype, I doubt I would have enjoyed them as much. ( )

This series is awesome! I think that Eclipse (book 3) is my favorite. ( )

I think it is a good book to read if you like reading romantic stories. Its very interesting because it tells you how one of the main characters, Bella is a human and falls in love with a vampire and that she can't tell anyone because they will put vampires at risk in the world. Also her dad's friend family is werewolves and they don' t like vampires because they made a treaty with them. Bella's best friend is a werewolf and her boyfriend is a vampire. Good book to read, very interesting. ( )

I think that these books had a strong starting idea, and many of the character's were very well done. I just think that the two main characters were very cliche and boring. The books would have been much better if told from say Alice and Jasper's POV. They are much more complex characters. ( )

I loved these books I can honestly say I have read them over and over again.
These books were so hard to put down
I love the romance the sacrifice for the one you love
I would love there to be a next book about Bella and Edwards daughter
Renesmee going up and find out more with her and Jacobs situation
I honestly can't think of one negative thing about these books
I would differently recommend these books even if you have seen the film's
As there is slot more things that haven't been shown in the film's ( )
