Another long winded account of Cathy's days now that they are out. But freedom is not all Cathy thought it would be and she still seems like a leaf following along to someone else's current. She can't seem to make her own decisions and relies on others to make them for her.

I was not a fan of the first 3/4 of the book. Full of Cathy's breathy accounts of her male conquests. But less her conquests than her struggle to control her own life. She let everyone dictate it except those who loved her. and the whole situation with Paul was just gross. How old was she when he first "fell in love"

Finally, the the last Part (#5) had plot movement and movement within the characters. I don't know that Cathy is any better for it but at least there is some resolution in this book - even if it's not terribly satisfying. If not for the last part of the book, this would have been a 2 star read for me. ( )

Im slowly falling in love with this series but that is because they are making them into movies and the writing is fantastic

This series was recommended to me. I made it through the first book, which I did not like. It was suggested that I try the second book because I might like it better. I read halfway through but didn’t finish it. This is not a genre I read. ( )

The followup to Flowers in the Attic. I read this book back in about 1983. I don't remember too much about it, except that it wasn't near as interesting. The kids were all grown up. ( )
