If you're a Tori Amos or Neil Gaiman fan (or both, like me), you need this book! ( ) I love the idea of this book, but its almost frustrating to see someone else's interpretations of some of the songs. I found some of the artwork (Marianne!!) amazing and some of the stories intriguing...but again, I'm fiercely, stubbornly holding on to my own personal interpretations & memories associated with each song. This book offered up a varied sampling of graphic artists. The book was something I could pick up here and there whenever I had a 10 or 20 minutes. The stories in the books are each based upon lyrics to various Tori Amos somgs, and as a fan I found the adaptions enticing and original. This is definitely something I would recommend to other fans of graphic work, Tori Amos or art in general. This is the single most amazing mixing of music and art that I have ever seen. The styles of each artist in this book are so varied. There is something for everyone with so many different methods and techniques. Seeing each artist's interpretation of each song is so fascinating. This book is like a little compact unit of highly compressed inspiration on the shelf. It is gorgeous beyond words, and has started many a conversation in my living room. Everyone is always so curious to know, "What is this Comic Book Tattoo??" no reviews | add a review
