Emmeline Spencer kidnapped Jamie Sommerville to make him confess to her sister’s murder, but besides being innocent he has other plans that must be carried out. He left home after an incident that damaged his eye and crippled his twin. He is now involved in a political intrigue that could result in his disgrace and death. Emmeline kidnaps Sir Jamie Harcourte but finds herself falling for the rogue. He sets the table turning and has her as captive. Now, with treasonnous plot around him, the king and the Duke of Lancaster, he pushes her away. But Emma keeps coming back to him and saves him. Eventually, he accepts the lesson that the Somerville men of Harcourte know: Never mess with their women, they are always right and stronger that the men. Which was true. no reviews | add a review
