French Countess, Viking Lord, both stubborn, willful, able to fight both the invading Danes and each other. Another great Viking story . ( )

In Graham's historical romance novel, Melisande weds the warrior, Conar MacAuliffe. Going into battle, he disappears for several years only to return determined to reunite with the bride he left behind. Melisande is determined to fight for her freedom while Conar fights to claim her, and together they just may discover a passion and love that defies them both.

As always, Heather Graham has created an incredible and detailed picture. ( )

Dedication
Dedicated to old friends with thanks for the warm memories, the great slumber parties, and all the stories we used to tell, and the dreams we used to weave.

To Patti Hill McVay, Patti Barbara Holland, Debbie Coule Dombriski, Marsha Wagner Penna, and especially to Ann Delaney Ahern—who has always kept the laughter going
To Sherri Adair Tatum, Brenda Hunt Causey, and Carol Zebrowski Thompson, with special thanks for always being so wonderfully supportive.
Most especially, to Debbie Duffey Craig. If old friends are truly gold, she is twenty-four karat.
