This was exactly as promised, a greatly written entertaining story that kept me interested throughout. It's easy to dismiss a book about a "monster shark" as ridiculous, but I found it to be as good as Jaws (where I'm in a minority that prefers the book over the movie). Of course, there are some less than believable scenes in this book, but that's to be expected. The audiobook is ~8.5 hours, pleasantly narrated by the author. ( )

Wow. Badly written, stupid characters, read like a SyFy monster of the deep movie. I read rubbish and enjoy it, I'm not a literary snob, but ive never read a book that screamed 'made for tv' quite so much. It was ridiculous throughout, and I don't really enjoy ridiculousness for it's own sake. Or ironic love for something- it's so bad it's good? No, it's just bad. ( )

I enjoyed this enormously. On the one hand it's a cheesily written Jaws rip off with one dimensional characters and completely improbable situations, but on the other it's about a 60 foot long prehistoric mega shark.
I was thinking I'd give it 3 stars until I got to the absolutely insane climax which tipped it over to 4.
If you like books with big sharks and lots of exclamation marks get it now! ( )

Awesome book! Edge of my seat action. Not much character development in my opinion but I preferred the action. ( )
