( ) Genre:Fantasy Age appropriateness:3-7 years, preschool and up Review:This is a book about how Moosetache finally get rid of his annoying mustache after trial and errors and find her true love. The book appealing to little kids. The story is funny, comical and is well illustrated. Reader can be a tongue twister and that is part of the fun. This is a fantasy book because it is an imaginary book and it uses magic creature as a theme-a moose with annoying mastache and can not get rid of it no matter how hard he try.He braids, coils and nets but none of these worked out. Moosetache is all about perseverance in the face of a problem, and that asking for help is always something that you should do. I didn't quite enjoy this book as much as the rest I have read for a few reasons. The main character for one was an odd one that I just couldn't find myself relating too in many ways, one of which would be the fact that he problem solved rather oddly. Understanding that he moved through the story in a comical manner for the readers purpose and made solutions humorous made me detached from his attempts to solve the issue. Another reason I disliked the book was the plot and how it seemed to crawl at the start only to resolve rapidly and without much thought. The resolution occurs in only 5 pages of the book, leaving the solution to seem so easy and straight forward that it should have been obvious to the main character. no reviews | add a review
