No current Talk conversations about this book. it was good if you like the girl/wouth thing ( ) A great werewolf story, really different. Set in an alternate renaissance-style world, and the wolf transformations just keep getting worse and worse. Its heroine is fourteen-year-old Princess Jatta, and she’s puny and painfully shy, and terrified by her freaky wolf transformations. They also do nothing for her popularity. I loved this story, largely for the tortured characters. Their situation is bleak, but Jatta and her brother Arthmael work so well together. They share such a strong bond in their quest for a cure — or at least for a place where she can transform without a bloodbath. I got really involved, all stressed out for jatta, especially when her wolf turned on Arthmael. no reviews | add a review
Jatta is a princess in the kingdom of Alteeda, but her life is no fairytale. Her mother was slain by werewolves when Jatta was three years old, and now, at the age of fourteen, she has discovered that the werewolves left their curse on her. With her brother, Arthmael, Jatta is forced to flee the castle and journey to the dark kingdom of Dartith, a place where werewolves and the Undead prowl the streets. Dramatic, exciting and romantic, Jatta is an engrossing read, combining the classic fantasy of Tamora Pierce with the gothic thrills of Stephenie Meyer. No library descriptions found. |
