One starring Miss Marple (They Do It With Mirrors) and two starring Hercule Poirot (The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Mrs McGinty's Dead). All three entries are classic and relatively entertaining whodunnits, with the Miss Marple entry being a little more straightforward than the other two (and my least favourite of the three). My favourite of the three is 'Roger Ackroyd'; I had heard in advance that this book had a great ending, and without spoiling anything, it does! In fact, the reveal elevates the story further from what is otherwise a less memorable set up. 'Mrs McGinty's Dead' has a few too many characters and moving parts to keep track of to begin with, however it also has an extra level of humour that the other two entries don't. Recommended both for fans of Christie and those starting to enjoy the genre. ( ) no reviews | add a review
