This book had an interesting concept and really showed a dystopian vibe. I enjoyed the meaning behind the words. ( )

It was okay. Decent theme but did not really apply to me and therefore it did not touch me in any special way like it should. ( )
  NolanRhine | Jan 6, 2025 |
Really good. I would want to see more about how their son grew up and what happened to the place they were both at before going into the forest. ( )
  halbrookmace | Jan 6, 2025 |
An interesting short story advocating for individualism. I have little to say on it. ( )
  Corbin_Johnson | Dec 26, 2024 |
This was interesting to read if you look at the broader message. If you get past the "we" part and look at the message of the book. But if you read it just for book enjoyment, it's a little jarring in it's odd writing style. ( )

First words
It is a sin to write this. It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to see. It is base and evil. It is as if we were speaking alone to no ears but our own. And we know well that there is no transgression blacker than to do or think alone. We have broken the laws. The laws say that men may not write unless the Council of Vocations bid them so. May we be forgiven!
