This has two stories by the two different authors. The first story was Christmas Awakening by Ann Voss Peterson. This story has Marie searching for the truth about her fathers death and along the way having to come to terms with her teenage crush. The story is pretty predictable and the characters didn't really stand out for me.

Beast of Darkness by Lisa Renee Jones is also relatively predictable, he's an immortal tasked with defeating demons, he's also got a dark side that can only be defeated with true love. She hears spirit voices. They're drawn to a town called Nowhere, Texas and they have to work together to defeat the evil, the question is not will they get together but will they survive. I'd read another book in this series.

Overall, readable and a good antidote to Charley's War. ( )
