The book has a very easy flow with some pages rhyming. The images are adorable and use lots of bright colors. The story talks about a young boy whose parents are divorcing. He wants to find mum and dad glue to put them back together. While looking in the glue shop, he tells the worker what he needs glue for. The worker takes him aside and explains that sometimes hearts break and there is no glue to piece them back together, however, his parents both love him very much no matter what and it is not his job to fix them. ( ) A little boy goes on a hunt for 'parent glue' to try and put his parent's relationship back together when they tell him they are getting divorced. The child blames himself for the divorce and slowly realizes that it is not his fault. I love the simple terms the book uses and how the child is searching for glue because he knows broken things need glue to repair it. The illustrations are excellent and every page shows broken things in the background that show just how many things seem to be broken from the child's point of view because of the divorce. A good read to help a child struggling with their parent's divorce realize that it is not their fault. no reviews | add a review
