Meanwhile, Misty, Erika, and Brock are still resisting Team Rocket's attacks. How long will they be able to hold out?
This manga takes a very different direction from the anime, with different protagonists and a whole new plot, though the manga does seem to retain elements from the Pokémon games, such as a trainer's ability to cancel their Pokémon's evolution. There are some interesting differences in the abilities given to each Pokémon, such as Agatha's Arbok's ability to change the markings on its body. Perhaps the most interesting difference between the manga and anime is the fact that Pokémon attack not only other Pokémon but often the human trainers as well. This leads to much more exciting battles. Pokémon Adventures is a must-read for any Pokémon fan. ( )
