I love the interconnected-ness and independency of the books. ( ) I think I liked this one the most out of the series. But then, I tend to favor the Dark court and the Wild Hunt. Enjoyed this thoroughly. We get to delve deeper into Faerie. We get to learn more about the Dark Court. And we get to learn more about how the courts balance each other. It seems almost like a side novel, as Aislinn & the Summer Court, and well as the Winter Court are kind of mentioned in passing. But, it's a large part of the development. It took me longer to get into this installment of Melissa Marr's Faerie series, but I liked where she went with it, especially how she ended it. It's a little jarring to follow Seth and Ash's story for a book and then have the author switch to bring minor characters into the forefront every other book, but it does work to make her world larger and open up more ways of viewing the good vs. evil of the whole thing. I'm looking forward to Darkest Mercy. no reviews | add a review
