Reading this would be better than not learning any Greek mythology at all, but overall I didn't like these versions of the tales. Some of the changes were trying to sanitise the stories for children, (saying Zeus married all the women he had daliences with..., for instance), and while I don't necessarily agree with censoring stories to that degree, it's up to the parents, educators, and children I suppose. Other changes were just odd and I couldn't find any reason for them. There were always multiple versions of the stories, so in some ways a few alterations here and there are expected, but some changes seemed less in keeping with everything else that has come down about the characters. And a few of the stances seemed quite judgy. (
