1 lie can end a million trust. My mission statement for CareerIreland coaching has always been clear that is Credibility over profitability. I would mainly focus on outlining the coaching process, timelines, and my approach to achieving results. I generally share my framework and how it’s tailored to their unique situation. I always set specific milestones, such as refining the CV or preparing for _targeted job interviews, to track your progress. Develop a strategy that aligns with their career goals and strengths. I then address specific gaps they’ve struggled with, such as interview confidence or networking and show quick wins such as improving their LinkedIn profile or crafting a compelling elevator pitch.

For a client like this, I would offer a free discovery call to see if I might be a good fit. The practice of coaching has a lot to do with connecting with the client on a frequency that enables you to help and for them to receive the help you are rendering. There's a possibility that the other coaches were not 'bad', they may just not have connected well.

Acknowledge their feelings without judgment. Let them know their skepticism is understandable. 2) Break goals into milestones- smaller, actionable steps make progress measurable and build confidence. 3) Personalization: Avoid generic advice. Craft strategies that align with their specific career goals and personal context. 4) Offer Resources: Provide tools, frameworks, or access to networks that enhance their journey. 5) Encourage Self-Reliance: Equip them with tools and strategies they can use independently in the future. 6) Iterate: Use their feedback to refine your approach.
