Dr. Javier Ventura-Juárez is a tenured professor and head of the Morphological Sciences Laboratory of the Department of Morphology at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 1970-1982, he studied as a Surgeon and Obstetrician and obtained a Master of Science degree in Morphology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. From 1992 to 1997, he obtained his PhD in Experimental Pathology at the Centre for Research and Advanced Studies of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico. From July 1979 to December 2000, he was a full-time professor of Morphology at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Sciences of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Since January 2000, he has been a research professor in the Department of Morphology at the Centro de Ciencias Básicas of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico. He is a member of the Mexican Society of Immunology. In 2007 and 2011, he received the University Merit Award in Research (UAA) and recognition for the best doctoral thesis in 2015, 2018 and 2023. He is currently a member of the Academic Nuclei of the PhD in Biological Sciences of the UAA and of the Master of Science in Biotechnology and/or Toxicology (UAA). He holds the distinction of the National System of Researchers, Conahcyt, Mexico, Level III.
