Biology, Environmental Science
It is demonstrated that ANG II-induced IL-6 elevation in M enhances activation of the JAK-STAT pathway and consequent AGT upregulation in PTCs, suggesting involvement of an immune response in driving intrarenal RAS activity.

It is demonstrated that ANG II-induced IL-6 elevation in MΦ enhances activation of the JAK-STAT pathway and consequent AGT upregulation in PTCs, suggesting involvement of an immune response in driving intrarenal RAS activity.

Medicine, Biology
An important role of JAK‐STAT signaling is established in MΦ‐IL‐6 mediated AGT induction in the kidneys by activation of Jak‐STAT pathway by IL‐6 derived from Ang II‐treated MΧ mediates AGT upregulation in PTC.
