Country cooperation strategy 2022-2026, Liberia
WHO and Liberia CCS
Overview
The Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) serves as the strategic basis for WHO’s entire work with Liberia including results-based planning and programming processes. It includes a high-level overview of WHO’s role at all levels and the budget envelope required to implement each of the strategic priorities.
This CCS identifies the exact nature of WHO’s planned cooperation and contribution to agreed outcomes under four broad strategic priority areas. These strategic priority areas are to:
(1) ensure more people benefit from universal health coverage (UHC),
(2) strengthen health systems resilience to underpin health and mitigate effects and causes of health emergencies,
(3) improve maternal and child health (MCH),
(4) reduce mortality and morbidity from climate and environment-related diseases and causes.
The CCS designates the main domains in which WHO will focus its efforts and resources over the next 5 years (2022‒2026).
