They are, in fact, two or more elections that are held on the same election day, and are related to each other. Usually, they are two-chamber elections in bicameral systems, but also cases such as municipal elections that elect mayor and councilors separately, with two direct votes. The mere coincidence of an election date between two elections does not justify its use.
The infobox only provides for the situation of TWO elections with ONE position each. The data structure in WD for this type of election consists of a set of 3 items:
- Main item with basic and common data
- Item of the first election with candidates and results
- Item of the second election with candidates and results
The structure of the last two items is defined by the type of election that corresponds to it and coincides with the one defined in the sections of direct and indirect suffrage i la d'proportional election. Additionally, are linked to the main item by has part(s) (P527) and part of (P361).
While some properties are not strictly necessary for the infobox at some of these two levels (e.g., candidates in the main item or jurisdiction in subordinates), we find them in some cases.

Items of linked election
editThe structure and properties must correspond to the type of election for each kind of position. It is important that it has all the properties as if it were an item of an individual election, not grouped; in this way, the infobox can be used directly with each of the group's elections.
Additionally it must have the part of (P361) with the value of the main item to which it is linked.
