Motivation
editArachne (Q624540) is one of the best database in the field of classical studies, it's accurate and considered valid by many users who study such topics in real life. The item of the database was imported at the beginning of wikidata and improved since 2016 and there is an ongoing off-wiki discussion for better collaboration on the long-term with the German Archaeological Institute . After this discussion, we agreed to request as a first ID the one related to buildings (the database is structured in many subsections, we will carefully evaluate their status before asking for future related ID).
We are planing an event in June where we could start to insert it manually as an exercise, in order to evaluate its use. Specifically, the metadata in the pages of Arachne can be used to source specific assertions. Alexmar983 (talk) 21:11, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

Discussion
edit- Strong Support --Epìdosis 21:24, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- Arachne is a project between the University of Cologne, coming from an older project to collect informations of ancient statues, started in pre internet age on one hand, and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) on the other hand, the biggest archaeological institution worldwide, 190 years of age these days. So the data quality and the long life is both undisputable. The project mastermind Reinhard Förtsch is also the chief of DAI-IT (means in the fist not to host the router or something like that, but to maintain the IT strategy of the DAI). So ofcourse Strong Support. -- Marcus Cyron (talk) 21:42, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
