Motivation
editSeems like a useful database to link in. We could alternatively make two identifiers (one for organizations and one for people). That would probably be better. BrokenSegue (talk) 19:50, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Discussion
edit- Comment I don't understand this database. How is "Fidel Castro" linked to "Democratic Socialists of America"? These "networks" seem entirely invented out of thin air. ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:11, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- @ArthurPSmith: yeah so I cannot vouch for the quality of the linking data. I think they do have a paid editing staff though but their political bias is clear. BrokenSegue (talk) 19:47, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose - I do believe Wikidata should be neutral but at the same time it shouldn't link to sites which produce misinformation. Here is the description for George Soros from the site: "The prime mover behind the Democratic “Shadow Party” network." Come on. --Adam Harangozó (talk) 14:48, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- fair enough. BrokenSegue (talk) 01:57, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Weak oppose Certainly a most original insight into the, well, interesting world view of (some) conservatives. However, I don’t see the benefit for Wikidata or its users. --Emu (talk) 10:28, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
