Motivation
editI would like to make it easy to discover other references for lithostratigraphic units, e.g. formations, members, groups, etc. I could easily determine the URL for each of the items with a Geolex ID (P6202), and by following that URL, determine which if any should be added to the described by source (P1343). Not sure that's the best property title, though. Trilotat (talk) 20:31, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose I don't see how this property improves upon using reference URL (P854) and/or Geolex ID (P6202) in references. Dhx1 (talk) 13:04, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- I don’t think reference URL (P854) is comparable in that it isn’t a main value. I think P854 is in references reference; I’m proposing a property for a list of references. Maybe described at URL (P973) works. I’ll check... Trilotat (talk) 15:50, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose Use described at URL (P973). Visite fortuitement prolongée (talk) 21:07, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose too generic. EDIT: sorry, I saw the edited title, still opposing per the previous comments, use a generic property --Sabas88 (talk) 10:06, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Question Isn't this something that can be found with the existing property anyways? Or do we just need to find a better formatter url for it? --- Jura 18:15, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
- Certainly, if we add it to described at URL (P973), it's discoverable. I suspect there's value in a more generalized "Bibliography URL" property. That's how I would prefer to approach this. Please, if I'm going about this incorrectly, I'd like to know. I think there are URLs that are bibliographies relevant to items in wikidata, like https://www.worldshakesbib.org/ for William Shakespeare (Q692). Trilotat (talk) 17:10, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
